DanceHouse One (DH1) is a membership program for the next wave of tastemakers who want to deepen their connections to the arts and create a welcoming and vibrant community while doing so. Members will receive inspiring opportunities for enhanced arts experiences, behind-the-scenes access, and unique social events. Whether you’re arts curious or a young arts veteran, we welcome you to share your time, experience and excitement as together we explore the rewarding world of exceptional, international dance!

Membership

Annual membership is $175* this year (regular $190). Benefits include tickets to two performances with exclusive DH1 events, and the DanceHouse One season social. DanceHouse Subscriber’s add-on price is $70*. Events are subject to cancellation, in which case the membership will be automatically extended to the following event.

 

Season Social

Our season social will be on Wednesday, 15 May 2024 at 6:30pm at the Ventura Room (695 Cambie St). This year, we are thrilled to include a dance performance by Dance//Novella’s founder and director, Rachael Prince, and a raffle with exciting prizes. A ticket to the season social is just $35* and includes quality hors d’oeuvres, two drink tickets, and one raffle entry. Anyone who is interested to know more about DanceHouse One is welcome to join us for an evening of cocktails and conversation!

Frequently Asked Questions

Help, I have a conflict with a show date!

If you can longer go to your performance night, simply call or email us and we will try our best to get you into a comparable seat on another night for the same presentation or another presentation in the same season. You may give your ticket to a friend. Please contact us with at least 48 hours notice for any type of exchange.

*For performances with an extended experience on a dedicated evening, we are able to switch your performance ticket but not transfer your extended experience.

I am a DanceHouse subscriber and I would like to join DanceHouse One

Great! You can purchase a Subscriber Add-On so you can attend the additional DanceHouse One events. We will happily switch your subscriber ticket to the night with the DH1 event so that you can attend the extended experience portion of the evenings.

Can I buy a membership as a gift for someone?

Yes. Contact the DH1 team and we will set that up for you.

I want to buy two memberships, but I don't know who I will bring with me to the events yet.

Share the DanceHouse love. If you purchase two memberships under your own name, you may use the second as a rotating +1 for all the events, it need not be the same person every time.

Can I purchase tickets to other DanceHouse performances?

Of course! DH1 members receive 10% off all additional tickets (15% for members who are also DanceHouse subscribers). To purchase additional tickets, login to your account at tickets.dancehouse.ca, your discount will automatically be applied at checkout. Please ensure you login with the email you used to purchase the membership.

Where am I sitting?

We love to see friendly faces at every performance! As such, DH1 members have a dedicated section in the orchestra level of the theatre, ensuring you get to sit with other members. Seats are located in tier B and are assigned on a first-come first-served basis after time of purchase.

DanceHouse Subscribers: by default you will remain in your subscription seat, if you’d prefer to sit in the DH1 section, let us know and we can set that up for you.

How do I get into the events?

Your name will be on the guest list for extended experiences and the end of season party. Performance tickets will be emailed, unless otherwise requested. If you lose your ticket, no problem, just let us know and we can resend it or print it out for you at the theatre.

I am not a DH1 member, can I join the season social on 15 May?

Sure! Whether you are a new member of the upcoming season or you are interested in experiencing what it is like to be in the DH1 family, you can purchase single tickets to attend the event on 15 May.
