DanceHouse is committed to ensuring your privacy is protected. This Privacy Policy, effective 14 April 2021, sets out how DanceHouse (the “Site”, “us” or “we”) uses and protects any information that you (“you” or “user”) provide us when you use the Site. DanceHouse only collects personal information from:
• Attendees (directly or through the venue box offices and ticketing agencies)
• Donors
• Members
• Volunteers
• Others who have shown an interest in the Society
To be able to use certain areas and features of the Site, specifically requested by you (including making ticket purchases or subscribing to our email newsletter) we may require you provide us with information that identifies you personally. This information may include:

• Your email address

• Credit card information
The information we collect may be used to bill you for the products or services offered by the Site (e.g., tickets), and to correspond with you (e.g., through email newsletters that you have subscribed to, donor or patron, or correspondence to us initiated by you).

The Society uses personal information to better serve our patrons and to expand our community of support. This includes using the information:
• To deliver services to provide information about tickets, events, membership, and donations
• To thank supporters, fulfill subscriber and donor benefits and issue tax receipts
• To invite supporters to special events
• To sell subscriptions, tickets and solicit donations
• For service phone calls and emails
• For audit purposes
On occasions where DanceHouse is co-presenting a performance or related event, your email address may be shared with the co-presenter for purposes of communicating about the performance.
Accountability
DanceHouse is committed to using personal information in a respectful way.
We are committed to making sure patrons do not receive more than a reasonable number of emails, letters, or phone calls. You can request that we remove or provide you with a copy of you personal information at any time.
All email newsletters contain instructions to unsubscribe from the mailing list. You can also contact us at info@dancehouse.ca to request changes to the way(s) we contact you, or remove your email address from our mailing list at any time. DanceHouse will never give or sell your email address or other personal information to a third party commercial marketing company.
Storage of Information
Personal information is stored in our database(s) on a secure server. Only authorized personnel access to this information.
DanceHouse will retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies.
Online Privacy
The society is committed to protecting the privacy of those who use our website.
DanceHouse does not collect any personal information about individuals browsing our website. DanceHouse does collect statistical information through a log file which indicates number, length, and frequency of page visits, external links redirecting users to our website, and which browser, operating system, and type of device (mobile or desktop) was used to access our website. This information is analyzed to help us develop content that responds to the interests of our website visitors. DanceHouse uses Google Analytics to track usage of our website for reporting and evaluation purposes.
We use Google AdWords remarketing to advertise DanceHouse across the Internet. AdWords remarketing will display relevant ads tailored to you based on your visit to the DanceHouse website by placing a cookie on your machine. THIS COOKIE DOES NOT IN ANYWAY IDENTIFY YOU OR GIVE ACCESS TO YOUR COMPUTER. The cookie is used to say: “This person visited this site, so show them ads relating to that site.” Google AdWords remarketing allows us to make special offers and continue to market our services to those who have shown interest in DanceHouse. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies to report on user interactions on Google Analytics customers’ websites. These cookies are used to store non-personally identifiable information. How To Opt Out of Remarketing and Advertising
If you do not wish to participate in our Google AdWords remarketing, you can opt out by visiting Google’s Ads Preferences Manager.

As always we respect your privacy and are not collecting any identifiable information through the use of Google’s remarketing service.
